September

Boots at the Beach Country Fest – September 15 – 16, 2017 (Friday 12:00 noon – 9:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
The Anglesea Irish Society is proud to present “Boots at the Beach”, Southern New Jersey’s largest country festival. Country vendors, crafts, wares and more! Country bands, DJs and food – all in a great outdoor setting by the seaside in beautiful North Wildwood.

Boardwalk Classic Car Show  – September 21 – 24, 2017
The Fall Boardwalk Classic Car Show takes place every September on the famous Wildwood Boardwalk.  The vehicles will line the boardwalk on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Participants will enjoy exclusive events throughout the weekend including a kick-off party dinner and discounts and specials provided by local restaurants and businesses!  A team of judges will choose the “Boardwalk Top 40” which is 40 of the best cars on the Board that weekend.

Irish Fall Festival – September 21-24, 2017
The largest Irish Festival on the East Coast celebrating Irish heritage with dancing, music, food and craft vendors along Olde New Jersey Avenue and surrounding pubs in North Wildwood. Features vendors, live Irish Entertainment on multiple stages, a golf tournament, concert, Irish dance lessons, 5K run and 1 mile walk, pipe exhibition, and Catholic mass. Oktoberfest – September 22-24, 2017 
Oktoberfest will run for three weekends in September and October. The event features live music, kids’ activities, rides, entertainment and food. Jumbo’s restaurant will feature a special themed selection of Bavarian pretzels, bratwurst, German potato salad, schnitzel and more.  “Bier on the Pier” features a wide selection of draught beers and tasting flights to be enjoyed at an outdoor biergarten located behind Jumbo’s with live entertainment from The Oompah-Delics.

Morey’s Piers Boardwalk Bunk Down – September 23-24, 2017
This is a family camping adventure at Morey’s Piers. Set up camp on Surfside Pier, then enjoy the rides on Mariner’s Pier all day Saturday. When you’ve had your fill of amusements, head back to Surfside Pier, grab your beach chair or blanket and settle in for a movie, with complimentary popcorn, under the Great White Roller Coaster. Rain or shine.

Wildwood Crest Seafarers’ Celebration – September 23, 2017 (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
This huge Bayfront street festival kicks off Friday night at Centennial Park (Rambler Road & Ocean Avenue) with live music at 7:00 p.m. followed by a spectacular beachfront fireworks show at 9:00 p.m. (Fireworks rain date is Sat. at 9 p.m.) Saturday features a festival along Sunset Lake at New Jersey Avenue between Rambler Road & Miami Avenue. Dozens of craft and food vendors, family entertainment, live music, children’s activities and contests. FREE admission.

Olde Time Italian Festival – September 29 – 30, 2017 (Friday 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., Saturday, 12:00 noon – 11:00 p.m.)
Celebrate Italian culture and heritage at Fox Park on Ocean Avenue between Burk and Montgomery Avenues in Wildwood. This ‘Olde World’ family festival includes a Procession of the Saints, delicious Italian food favorites, merchandise vendors, games, and continuous live entertainment. A grape stomping contest and spaghetti eating contest will take place as well. Admission to the festival is FREE.

Seafood and Music Festival – October 7, 2017 (11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.)
The Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce will host a street fair on Atlantic Avenue between Wildwood and Schellenger Avenues in Wildwood. The festival will feature 2 stages of live music, crafters, food vendors, a pie eating contest and much more! A “Kids Korner” with activities including pumpkin painting, face painting and bounce houses will take place from 12:00 noon – 5:00 p.m.

Wildwoods Restaurant Week – October 8-13, 2017
Wine and dine in some of Wildwoods finest restaurants. All participating restaurants will offer a complete four course meal, including appetizer, salad, entree and dessert for $30 (plus tax and gratuity.) OverSand Expo – October 13-15, 2017 
OverSand Expo is a brand new event focused on everything you can do on the sand and outdoors! It’s kayaking, surfing, fat tire biking, surf fishing, camping and much more. This is the perfect event for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. We are offering three days and two nights of beach camping on the beautiful Wildwoods’ beaches. Lots of vendors will be showcasing their products and services, and there will be opportunities to learn about different activities and see demos of new gear.

Fabulous ’50s & Beyond Weekend – October 13-14, 2017 (Friday 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
Friday night features a Nifty ’50s Dance Party at the Wildwoods Convention Center. Tickets are $15 per person. A free street fair will take place at Fox Park in Wildwood on Saturday featuring classic cars, food and craft vendors, a Doo Wop Bus Tour, and live entertainment. Saturday night features a star-studded concert at the Wildwoods Convention Center at 7:00 p.m. featuring Bobby Rydell, Little Anthony & The Imperials, and Shirley Alston Reeves. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster and are available at the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce (3306 Pacific Avenue) or at the Wildwoods Convention Center Box Office the weekend of the event. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

Wildwood Fall Food Truck Festival – October 21, 2017 (11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
The Wildwood Food Truck Festival will be held at Wildwood’s Fox Park. The festival will feature 20 food trucks of all different cuisines, with no duplicate cuisines to keep the festival unique. This year, a newly added kid’s area will be present, featuring a bounce house, face painting, a balloon twister, and multiple games. Also, come check out the new vendor row, featuring retailers and crafters all day long. Entry to the festival is free.

Wildwoods Boardwalk Pumpkin Run – October 21, 2017 (9:00 a.m. Registration)
The Wildwoods Boardwalk Pumpkin Run is a ghoulishly fun and exciting family event for all ages Halloween Weekend. This festive boardwalk event offers a 5K run along with a 1 mile family walk. Registration is at the Convention Center. Participants are encouraged to dress in their favorite Halloween costumes to compete for the prizes in the best dressed categories of Family, Youth, Infant, and Best All Around. All proceeds benefit the Elementary Schools of the Wildwoods. $25 for adults; $10 for those 18 and under. All participants will receive a Pumpkin Run T-shirt. Lighthouse Challenge of New Jersey – October 21-22, 2017 (8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Start at Hereford Inlet Lighthouse then visit New Jersey’s historic lighthouses and select affiliated museums all weekend, rain or shine. Visitors will enjoy the opportunity to tour the state and visit participating land-based lighthouses, 2 museums, and 2 life-saving stations over the weekend, as well as help raise funds for continued lighthouse preservation, education and restoration. The Hereford Inlet Lighthouse in North Wildwood is included in the challenge. Entrance fee for participants and vendors.

Downtown Wildwood Halloween Movie & Treats – October 27, 2017 (5:30 p.m.)
Enjoy a Halloween movie and treats under the stars at Byrne Plaza in Wildwood (on Pacific Avenue, between Oak & Cedar.) Free admission and parking.

December

Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony – December 1, 2017 (5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.)
Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Courtyard, 1st & Central Avenues, North Wildwood. Christmas tree lighting includes music, cookies and hot chocolate, and Santa.

Partners in Preservation Holiday Tour – December 1, 2017
Partners in Preservation presents a holiday tour consisting of local Bed and Breakfasts, churches and the Wildwood Historical Museum. A $10 donation for a bracelet allows entry to Bed and Breakfasts and churches, children under 12 are free. Tour is self-paced, and entry to the museum is free.

Greater Wildwood Jaycees Christmas Parade – December 1, 2017 (6:00 p.m.)
Watch a festive line-up of floats, fire trucks and other creatively decorated vehicles parade down the streets of the Wildwoods accompanied by Santa himself! Parade begins at 15th & Central Avenues, then continues South on Pacific Avenue through Wildwood to Heather Road in Wildwood Crest, then ends at the Wildwoods Convention Center. Parade awards will be presented in the Wildwoods Convention Center at 7:30 p.m., immediately following the 7:15 p.m. tree lighting ceremony. Trophies will be awarded in these categories: Commercial, Community Service, Marching Bands, and Public Service. (Rain date for parade is Sunday, December 14th with registration at 3 p.m., lineup at 4 p.m., and parade steps off at 5 p.m. If weather is uncertain, listen to 98.7 The Coast.)

‘Pinch the GrYnch’ Boardwalk 5K Run – December 9, 2017 (10:00 a.m.) 
This holiday boardwalk 5K run and 1 mile walk is fun for all ages! This is a rain or shine event and registration at 9:00 a.m. inside the Wildwoods Convention Center. Participants are encouraged to dress in festive holiday outfits. The race route will run south on the Wildwoods Boardwalk to Cresse Avenue, make a turn around and head north to 21st Street. Another turn will lead runners back to the Convention Center where refreshments will be served and prizes awarded. Runners and walkers along with their cheering sections can then enjoy the Holiday Bazaar held inside the Convention Center. Registration is $30 per person or $15 if you donate a new, unwrapped toy for local children in need.

Family Holiday Celebration – December 8-9, 2017 (Friday 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.; Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)
Continue a family tradition with an exciting holiday celebration filled with fun for the entire family! Attend the Jaycees Christmas Parade on Friday night at 6:00 p.m., followed by a tree lighting ceremony and parade awards ceremony at the Wildwoods Convention Center at 7:15 p.m. On Saturday, bring the family inside the Wildwoods Convention Center lobby  for FREE admission to holiday-themed crafters, photos with Santa, movies, entertainment and much more.
